Your view overlooks the Marina, it’s hundreds of boats, ranging from small fishing & fun boats and tour boats to luxury Super Yachts bringing their owners and guests on their regular pilgrimage to “suffer” through the rigours of a Cairns winter!
You will be surrounded by the delightful Cairns Inlet, and overlook the coastline from the mountains opposite – through towards the airport and over the city with its’ backdrop of lush green hillslopes.
Ciao Italia has been a most favoured retreat for coffee drinkers and diners for around 18 years – I have many fond memories of visiting Ciao on a regular afternoon coffee binge. They were the forerunners in Cairns of true Italian coffees and the delicious foods on offer were
so stunningly new and “foreign” to the tastes of the local diners – it certainly was a vibrant and exciting spot to relax and watch the world go by after a hard day at work! Their pizzas and pastas were to die for – and they still are – after all this time!
Ciao Italia has grown since its’ earlier days.
It now seats around 180 people – with a fantastic outdoor covered area offering the delights of balmy Cairns evenings, combined with their traditional Italian foods.
The staff are friendly and lively – in the traditional Italian ways – loud, laughing, risqué – all contributing to the atmosphere and ambience of this well run and profitable eatery.
